Looking For Cheap Flights In South Africa
There was a time when South African Airways (SAA) dominated air travel in and around South Africa. In the last few years a few airlines have joined the market and made things much eaiser. This has increased the competition and increased competition is always good for the customers. In the airline industry this basically translates to lower airfares.
So apart from SAA you can now fly on ‘1 Time, Mango and Kulula Airlines. Comapred to most other means of making a booking, making an online reservation is the cheapest. If you are interested in a lower airfare then make sure you book your tickets over the internet.
Depending on the time of the year and the day of the week the prices of air tickets will always vary. If you are going to be flying between Monday and Thursday you will get charged a lower airfare. This is because the other times are considered peak periods of travel were most people want to be on the move. So passengers are now the ones competing for seat during these times making the prices higher ..
Most airlines have since developed what is called an e-ticket. When airlines use tickets they do not use anything on printing, staionery and people; using them will get you a lower rate on your airfare and the nice thing about them is that they do not get lost.
So you can access the sites of these airlines directly and compare prices and departure times but this will no doubt take you a lot of time. There are sites that can provide you with information of all available flights in the country at any time. You just fill the relevant details concerning your destination and dates and it will give you a list of available flights during that period.
To be able to compare up to date current airfares and discounts that are on offer visit any one of these: Durban To Johannesburg Flights Port Elizabeth To Durban South AfricaFlights From Johannesburg To Kimberley Airport
Must Have Student Insurance
It seems kind of ironic that the time in our lives when we need spending money is when we are students and the time in our lives when we have spending money is when we are working and have no time to spend it.
Being a poor student often leads to avoidance of what are seen to be unnecessary expenses like insurance. But this is often a false economy. For example, travelling without adequate travel insurance is simply foolish. Without adequate travel insurance if the worst should happen and you need to be repatriated due to illness or accident then the expense can be incredible. Yet still many students fly off for a year on the road without the travel insurance that they really need.
When travelling it is essential that all students ensure that they have adequate insurance cover. Always ensure that your travel insurance policy covers all of the activities that you will be enjoying while on your travels.
Although it might be argued that a life insurance policy should be low on a student's list of priorities this is not the case for personal possessions. Students these days have a whole load of expensive electronic gadgets including costly laptops, ipods and mobile phones. These expensive and essential gadgets are often lost, damaged or stolen. At the very least every student should consider getting some mobile phone insurance and maybe look at other low cost, specific insurance policies for other valued possessions.
At the very least I would suggest that all students should insure their mobile phones and their laptops against loss, theft and damage. Doing so will ensure that if the worst should happen then at least you will be able to buy a replacement. Insurance will buy you a new laptop or mobile phone but can't replace all that valuable lost data?
How I Lost My Mobile Phone – Twice
We never expect it to happen to us, but then it does. In my case this has happened twice. I'm refering to losing my mobile phone.
The first time was the result of a few too many beers on a boys night out. I'd been on my mobile while on my way home in a taxi and I think I must have left it on the back seat. When I realized what had happened, the following day, I called the cab firm but unfortunately they didn't have my valuable telephone. It was suddenly painfully clear how much of my life was actually stored on my little mobile telephone.
I vowed that I would be far more careful in future and get myself some mobile phone insurance to cover the cost of replacement. The expense was actually the last thing on my mind as I'd lost a whole load of important telephone numbers and contact details that weren't stored anywhere else.
We all do it. We run into an old friend and we immediately input their contact details into our telephones and don't think about transferring those details to our computers or some sort of backup device, like an address book.
The second time I lost my mobile phone was on another night out but this time I wasn't the worse for drink. I am convinced that my phone was stolen by an expert pick-pocket who managed to remove my telephone from the pocket of my jeans without me noticing. It'smore likely that I dropped it on the floor when getting some cash from my pocket at the bar. I was in a nightclub so I told the bar staff and security guys but, unfortunately, my phone didn't turn up.
Stupidly, I hadn't taken out the mobile phone insurance policy that I'd intended to. But, subsequent to my previous experience I had kept a record of all the new phone numbers and contact details that were on the device so the loss wasn't quite as disastrous as it had been the previous time.
I suppose there is a moral to this sorry tale? Maybe a small one. But I strongly suggest that you backup all of your telephone contact details and maybe get yourself some insurance to cover the cost of a replacement.
Why not use something other than the wife to help find the way
You certainly would not be alone if you were to admit getting lost in the car with a partner not helping by giving out all the wrong directions. It is a very stressful thing and something that can cause huge arguments within the car which do not help both the situation and any kids that are sitting in the back wondering what on earth is going on in the front of the car.
There is however a solution to this and that is to get a Sat Nav.They are basically a GPS system in your car that uses the Global Positioning Satellite what orbits the earth. It locks onto the Sat Nav receiver in the certain unit and calculates longitude, latitude as well as altitude which can be very useful. It is then laid over a standard road map which reveals the drivers position to roughly 10 metres. It can also work out the quickest route between two points which is going to save you on gas. Furthermore it can combine average road speeds and other data to tell you on rough arrival times to your route~Furthermore it can combine average road speeds and other data to tell you on rough arrival times to your route~Furthermore it can combine average road speeds and other data to tell you on rough arrival times to your route}. Road conditions can also be made available to you.
They do not have to cost a small fortune~Price isnt always too bad on these~The price can be quite reasonable on these~Sometimes the price isnt as bad as you might think}~They really do not need to cost much~Price isnt always too bad on these~The price can be quite reasonable on these~Sometimes the price isnt as bad as you might think}. If you are looking for one that maps Europe as well as the USA then it is going to cost you a bit extra but then again you are not going to get lost in either of these places at all.
However what happens when they go wrong? Will all you have to do is to get something known as gadget insurance which will cover something like this or you could even get Sat Nav insurance which is basically what it says it is and will cover your Sat Nav if it breaks.
If you are planning on going away then don’t forget to have travel insurance as it could really save you some money if something goes wrong when you are away.
What Everyoone Should Know About Student Life
The Daily Telegraph has just published a student poll conducted by Olympus which highlights what students think they should be doing at University.
The list entitled 'Things to do before leaving University' includes many archetypical student experiences like arguing with housemates over who should buy the toilet roll; ringing your parents only when you need money; collecting 500 friends on Facebook and spending no more than £10 on a night out.
I could add a number of additional experiences based on my own student years. These include having sex with a woman in her eighties; five legged pub crawls; brewing beer in the bio-chemistry lab and abseiling down the outside of the University building.
These are all typical student experiences. But student life is actually full of risks. Many students don't have an entirely positive experience at University or college. Often away from home for the first time, in a strange city, they can find themselves ripped off by money grabbing landlords.
Students in many of Britains towns and cities are becoming targets for muggings and theft. All students, these days, have loads of expensive gadgets like laptops, mobile phones and mp3 players and these are attractive to local criminal gangs. Student life can be a lot of fun, but these days it can also be fraught with danger. Todays students would do well to take classes in self-defence and avoiding confrontation.
Enjoying life, making friends and developing independence are all part of what it is to be a student. But the important thing is to stay safe.

Keep your bag safe
Keeping your bag safe is sometimes something that is right at the back of your mind when out at a party at a friend’s house or even when out on the town. However even at close relatives it is possible that your bag could be stolen by somebody and that happy party night could be turned into a very bad night indeed. Not only your purse is going to be stolen when this happens. Your whole identity can be stolen nowadays with just a simple bag swipe. There a few things to remember when you are going out.
The first point to make is never leave your bag unattended. Leaving all of your poessessions in one room at a party if very common. Although this sounds likea really good idea the real truth behind it is that a thief can actually pretend to be looking for an item of thiers when they are not.
Chelsea clips can be very useful things indeed. Using one of these if you see one is a good idea. They make it virtually impossible for someone to steal a handbag as they have to use both hands to even get it off of the hook.
Getting to a bag for a thief is made even easier if you are hanging your bag off the back of a chair, do not do it. Make sure the bag looks like it is going to be hard to snatch, have the zip closed unless you are using it as well as all other compartments.
The final point is carry as little cash with you as possible. You can stop someone from accessing you credit cards, once cash has been taken you cannot stop it from going anywhere.
If the worst does happen then your home insurance is not going to help at all and unless you are at home neither is home emergency insurance. The best bet to take is either gadget insurance or personal emergency insurance. With these two insurances you will be able to claim not only lost gadgets back but also cash as well.
Fraud for law students?
Two students who were taking a holiday in Brazil have essentially been found that they were lying when they stated that they were robbed on a Brazilian bus. They have been arrested for insurance fraud as they were said to have claimed that over £1000 worth of their belongings had been taken away from them. However when officers searched the two girls hostel in Rio de Janeiro it was found that the items they had claimed to be missing were actually in their lockers all along.
They have stated that they were in fact robbed but had simply got what they were robbed from them wrong which can of course happen.
Although the morale of the story seems to be not to lie it does teach an important lesson and that is that you should always have insurance.
If in fact they had not been lying they would have successfully been able to get back their money for the items taking proving that travel insurance does actually come in handy when you use it for the right reason
s rather than for personal gain. Whether or not they were telling the truth is unknown.
So at least this story will persuade more people to get out travel insurance as you now know for sure that it works. However they could have been telling the truth as having something taken away from you is a very traumatic experience and it isnt easy to remember everything that was taken.
Of course if you are not looking to go away this year a look into your home insurance could be what you need. Some of these do not actually cover you from many things which is why you might need to be looking into home emergency insurance.
One of the major things to remember is that if you are going to claim on the insurance is not to lie about it!
Bedbugs are dangerous
Unwelcome guests are common in these warm summer months so be on the look out. Of course it is common pests that are being mentioned here such as wasps, cockroaches and bedbugs. Although these may be small bugs they can in fact pose a serious health hazard as well as potentially causing damage to your home that could result in a horrible bill of hundreds of dollars.
Bedbugs are a very serious problem and they are on the increase. These are surprisingly not just being found in the bedroom but in sofas, chairs and even in curtains. They feed on human blood which is the worst thing about them. If you have a really bad case then chances are you could be bitten up to 500 times in just one night. The only good thing (if that is possible) is that they do not carry any diseases so you know that if you do get bitten not to worry about that. However as one of the bugs can ingest up to seven times its own weight in blood one single feeding by a severe investigation could result in the victim developing something like anemia.
There is one major problem and that is that there really isn’t much out there in terms of you going out there to buy something that will actually get rid of a large infestation. The answer really comes from home emergency insurance which will actually cover you if an expert has to come in to get rid of them. Bed bugs were nearly eradicated all together not long ago by broad pesticides such as DDT. They have been kind of pushed back thinking that they had all but gone. They have been able to slowly come back with more force than ever. Of course broad types of pesticides are not used anymore as so many specific ones are out there to do the job.
So make sure you have home insurance to help cover you against things like this. Of course if it is your phone you are worried about getting damaged why not take out I-phone insurance.
