Hotels in Mallorca suitable for all occasions

Mallorca continually delights the many visitors who choose to head to its shores for their annual getaway. Unsurprisingly, over the years the destination has developed a huge range of facilities for tourists, including hotels that are suitable for all styles of holidaying. Regardless of the type of holiday you want — whether you are a family seeking child-friendly accommodation, a single in search of active nightlife or a couple desiring a quiet retreat, the hotels in Mallorca offer a wide selection of options, so you are bound to find something that will fit your budget and interests on this pretty isle.

Family-friendly resorts

Mallorca has a number of family-friendly accommodations, from villas to apartments or all-inclusive resorts. Going all inclusive can be a shrewd choice for holidaymakers, as all meals, snacks and drinks are covered, and there is often plenty of choice - ideal for more picky palates. The island's family resorts make sure that everyone is kept busy, with parents being able to enjoy rest and relaxation by the pool while children can enjoy the special entertainments on offer at the kids clubs and play areas. Good beach options include the Mallorca hotels found around Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicence.

Party options

Mallorca is renowned for its active nightlife and many visitors come to the island to enjoy the numerous bars and dance clubs. While Palma is a hotspot, where party animals flock to the “Paseo Maritimo” to dance the night away, visitors to the island can find numerous bars, discos and clubs scattered throughout most of the resort areas. The clubbing capital of the island, however, can be found in Magaluf, where BCM and Bananas are just two of the world famous clubs waiting to welcome party animals. Or for a more unusual club experience, head to Virtual Club in Illetas. This establishment can be found in the natural caves along the town's seafront and is home to a restaurant as well as a bar and disco. Wherever you decide to stay in Mallorca, though, odds are good that you will find a thriving nightlife.

Quiet hotels

While the north and east coasts of the island host most of the resorts and new development, you can still find some quiet areas, such as Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla. Both of these areas have been recognised for their environmental and ecological value. You can also skip the beach resorts and look for hotels in Mallorca that are located in the Tramuntana mountain range. Of course, those who visit during the off peak months will be able to enjoy a quieter side to Mallorca at a wide range of hotels as the high season crowds disappear. As an added benefit, travellers can take advantage of off peak prices at the same time.
